Bringing together leading Italian companies and Ethiopian decision-makers, the initiative will showcase the excellence of Made in Italy across furniture, interior design, architectural lighting, premium building materials, and smart living solutions.
The Italian Trade Agency (ICE), in collaboration with CNA (National Confederation of Craft and SMEs), is pleased to announce the second edition of Italian Smart Living 2026, a premier business and design event taking place from 7–9 July 2026 at the Ethiopia Science Museum in Addis Ababa.
As Ethiopia continues to invest in urban development, hospitality, and modern housing, Italian Smart Living 2026 will serve as a strategic platform for business partnerships, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Round Table session will be moderated by INTERNI Magazine, one of the world’s leading architecture and design publications, with additional media participation from across East Africa.
Italian Smart Living 2026 highlights Italy’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and long-term economic cooperation with Ethiopia, creating new opportunities for businesses, professionals, and institutions in both countries.
The three-day program will feature.
- A curated exhibition of Italian design and smart living solutions
- A high-level round table on sustainable construction, smart cities, hospitality design, and real estate investment
- Targeted B2B matchmaking sessions connecting Italian suppliers with Ethiopian buyers and developers
- An exclusive Italian Design Masterclass led by renowned architect Duccio Grassi
- An Urban Regeneration Competition focused on Addis Ababa’s Merkato district
- A special exhibition celebrating the evolution of iconic Italian brands, promoted by the Italian Embassy on the occasion of the International Day of Made in Italy
- The last day will be opened for the public to visit the expo
